LA's district attorney announces partial end of cash bail, prohibition of death penalty



Newly sworn-in Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón to the helm of the nation's largest prosecution office Monday and unveiled an ambitious agenda that includes the end of cash bail for many offenses, not seeking the death penalty and the refusal to pursue charges for certain crimes.
